#1 Pilot: Aired Monday, September 21, 1998

Dennis brings his girlfriend Jennifer back with him to his hometown to start a new business and save the failing economy of Hyperion Bay. Jennifer has trouble dealing with his family. Dennis's brother Nick is getting separated from his wife. Dennis doesn't hire his family's construction company to do the work on the new business space. Dennis sees his old high-school crush who now has a crush on him even though she's married.

#3 Static: Aired Monday, October 5, 1998

We find out that Nick and Amy are separating because Amy cheated on Nick. Although Amy wants to try to save their marriage, Nick just wants to forget about it and move on. Nick tries to convince his father to buy and develop the old drive-in movie theater, but his father refuses to do something that radical. Nick pursues it on his own, gets approved for the necessary loan, and then finds out that a large outside corporation purchased the land just before he was able to. Trudy gets Dennis's advice on buying a personal computer, and they start up an intense online relationship... until Nelson makes her return her new toy.

#4 Family Business: Aired Monday, October 12, 1998

We meet Marcus, the new star programmer at Muse Prime who becomes Dennis's #2 (what happened to Larry from the pilot episode?). Dennis works long hours to debug a program that's on a tight deadline. Jennifer restores the fireplace of a house that Amy is trying to sell. Dennis hires his dad's company to construct the "canteen" of Muse Prime. When Dennis's boss cuts the budget for the project, Frank and Nick accomodate him as best they can. Trudy and Nelson apply for a loan and their loan officer is the old fat girl (now skinnier) from high school that Trudy used to tease. Trudy thinks that when they get turned down it's because their loan officer hates her and asks for Dennis's help convincing the loan officer that she's changed.

Dennis finds out about Sarah and Nick's affair shortly before Sarah and Nick end up breaking up. Jennifer is upset when Amy and Dennis spend more time together and starts undermining Amy in business. Muse Prime holds a fundraiser at the cannery for to save the lighthouse. Bordon has been brought in by the board of directors to save everyone's ass in light of Trudy's lawsuit. Sarah, Nick, Dennis and Bordon are concerned that the lawsuit might bring out their old bribery of the town supervisor. Trudy will only settle her lawsuit if Sarah and Dennis are fired. It turns out Bordon is now pulling Trudy's strings.

Dennis and Sarah are kicked out of the company, but Dennis's last plea with Trudy, and Bordon showing her his true colors, lead Trudy to betray Bordon. Dennis and Sarah win back the company. Sarah asks Nick to take her back. Dennis and Amy start to reveal their deeper feelings to eachother, but realize that it's a bad idea. Jennifer moves ahead with Galaxy.
